HOW IT ALL STARTED
The Alfaro family opened the first Empanada Express on September 5th, 2015 in Midvale, Utah. Oliver Alfaro (originally from Venezuela) always loved the food from his native home. His wife (originally from Southern California), along with Oliver’s extended family, created many authentic recipes from Central and South America and the Caribbean that really made Oliver happy. As they began to share these delicious foods with their friends, they kept hearing over and over, “You should start a restaurant!”
